Ted Strickland: I'm so proud of Ohioans on Issue 2, but your opinions on Obamacare are meaningless.

Hey there, Ohio. Last night former governor Ted Strickland weighed in on the election results. In a nutshell, he basically said this: "I'm so proud of my fellow Ohioans for siding with union bosses and deciding to lay off thousands of public employees, but I can't believe how misinformed you are about how great Obamacare is! When your opinion doesn't match mine, it is meaningless!" Watch.

So, Ted says that there was virtually no campaigning by either side on Issue 3, and because of that, voters were just not informed and couldn't be trusted to make the right choice. Apparently, to Ted, "being informed" requires that you be bombarded by $30 million dollars worth of emotional and misleading rhetoric from union bosses. Only then are Ohioans smart enough on the issues to make a truly wise decision. When left to decide for yourself on something, well, you just can't be trusted, and your opinion doesn't mean squat!

Strickland is sidestepping a fact that you will also see none of other liberals in Ohio admit. The very same electorate that came out and heavily supported unions last night also heavily rejected Barack Obama's and Sherrod Brown's baby. In fact, more Ohioans rejected Obamacare than rejected Senate Bill 5! Any talk by the Democrats of last night's results being a momentum-builder for 2012 is a sham. They will still do it, of course. They will pretend Issue 3 didn't happen, and call it a meaningless blip. Just like Strickland did.

Ted continues to show very little class in defeat. Did we see Bob Taft running around the state badmouthing Strickland? No. You're a sore loser, Ted. Please just go away and stop making a fool of yourself.
