Ganley is confused.

Yesterday, GOP Senate hopeful Tom Ganley(who?) was pushing to the media that Scott Brown's victory in Massachusetts means that he is the more attractive candidate because both he and Brown were "outsiders".

I'm loving me some Brownie right now, but labeling him an outsider is a stretch, at best.

• He's a State Senator. Well, "was"...as soon as the U.S. Senate seats him.
  
• Every living former Republican governor of Massachusetts campaigned for him.
• Andrew Card, W's first Chief of Staff, upon deciding against running for the seat threw his support behind Brown.
• He was endorsed by 39 U.S. Senators.
• He was endorsed by the NRSC.
• He was endorsed by John McCain, Mike Huckabee and Sarah Palin.

Additionally, when Brown announced his candidacy, the Boston Globe wrote the following:

Frank Talty, a political science professor at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, said Brown's candidacy makes him the "instant front-runner" for the Republican nomination.

[...]

Jody Dow, the Republican National Committee chairwoman for Massachusetts, said Brown is a strong candidate whom party leaders have long eyed as a prospect for statewide office.

Doesn't sound like Brown was the anti-establishment candidate, eh Tom?

Ganley just doesn't seem to be interested in taking this race seriously. He's saying just enough to remind the media that he exists now and then, but then fades back into obscurity.

His campaign brags it will spend millions of dollars, but in reality they’ve barely spent anything. Their “BIG” TV buy last October? $63K for one week on FOX News. To make an impact in Ohio statewide, you have to spend at least $1 million – and stay up.

Ganley needs to either start taking his candidacy seriously, or get out of the race.
