Barack Hussein Obama: US "one of the largest Muslim countries in the world".
Why is it necessary to sacrifice our nation's identity in a desperate attempt to appease those half a world away?
Obama has carefully crafted his language, basing his statement on numbers of Muslims, to identify the United States as just another Muslim country. His statement encapsulates his foreign policy in a nutshell.
Kiss ass, and lie if you have to.
I'm sorry, Mr. President, but that's not how the United States should do business.
No, clearly the US should simply sit in the bully pulpit and tell other countries that if you aren't with us, you are against us...oh wait, that didn't work either
ReplyDeleteTo the poster above, I say nonsense. This isn't a, pardon the expression, black and white issue. Surely President Obama could find some middle ground between throwing his country metaphorically under a bus, or following the President George W. Bush doctrine that you described. There is nothing wrong with acknowledging the sins of the past, as well as trying to find common ground with the vast numbers of muslims who are not radical, anti-American zealots, and, at the same time, also acknowledging that while we may live in a brotherhood of nations, that the U.S. is still the biggest brother of them all. In terms of military, economy, science, education, and yes, in terms of our freedoms, the United States is still the country everyone in the world looks to for leadership. Yes,it would be a fine line for President Obama to walk, but isn't that what we're all paying him for?
