Is the Obama campaign already planning on losing Ohio?

How bad is it getting for President Odowngrade?

This bad.

And no, this wasn't on Fox News, being repeated by Sean Hannity or Bill O'Reily. This was on MSNBC with Chuck Todd. Hardly a partisan source.

If Ohio goes to the GOP, so do many other states that Obama won in 2008, including Florida, Indiana and North Carolina. And judging by the recall results in Wisconsin last night, he's in trouble there, too. The GOP prevailed in 4 of 6 districts that Obama won in 2008.

Is it possible for Obama to win reelection while losing Ohio? Yes. Is it likely? Not even close.

  1. "MSNBC ... hardly a partisan source."

MSNBC is totally a partisan source (remember Keith Olbermann?), which makes the numbers so much more problematic.

  2. GOP almost loses control of a legislative chamber less than a year after a major GOP tide election... so naturally, Wisconsin is bad news for... Obama.

    Sweet Jesus, that's ridiculous.

  3. Anon: You are right about MSNBC. I was referring to Chuck Todd.

Mod: You beat a rep in a deep blue district and another who couldn't keep his pants on. The unions and dems were expecting a flip. Didn't happen. All 6 of those districts were Obama 2008 districts.

  6. "We almost won!" Did you borrow that from the Cubs?

  7. Sherrod Brown and Barack Obama are the two most popular politicans in Ohio beating out the approval ratings of Kasich and Portman easily. Both lead in Ohio polling for re-election next year.

    Oh woe is us.

  8. This is almost as good as Keeling claiming Kasich was 12 points ahead in the race a month before the election.

  9. Or as Modern Esquire claiming that Ted Strickland would beat Kasich by 20 points. Ha.

Got a link to that? Or was he analyzing a poll that said so?
