Paula Brooks is a wuss. And still doesn't live in the 12th District.

Today's The Hill includes an article about Democratic candidates not taking a position on health care and surprise - surprise Paula isn't taking a position. In fact, Brooks declined to comment for the story at all.

But interestingly enough, when it comes to pleading for contributions she doesn't have a problem referring to Congressman Pat Tiberi's position on health care...
His recent ‘NO’ vote on healthcare is just another sign of his dedication to the partisan divisiveness in Washington.” (Paula Brooks Fundraising Letter, 12/7/09)

Maybe it would have been a good idea to check with how folks in Ohio feel about health care before begging for cash. From the DDN:
“Ohio children's hospitals say they will be hurt disproportionately by funding cuts in proposed federal health care legislation because of the large percentage of patients they serve who are covered by Medicaid.”

“Children's hospital officials fear the funding cuts would be particularly damaging to them. Industry officials say Medicaid only covers 67 percent of the cost of care, leaving hospitals to depend on the federal payments and private insurance to recoup their costs.

“‘It could be a disaster,’ said Akron Children's Hospital Executive Vice President Shawn Lyden. ‘I think there's either a fundamental lack of understanding or a misconception in Washington around what this means for children's hospitals.’”
Oh, and per Rasmussen, 54% of Ohioans disapprove of Obamacare and 63% disapprove of how the President has handled the issue.

Good luck with that, Paula.
