But interestingly enough, Willard also perfectly framed the entire upcoming campaign between Kasich and Strickland.
Even before the primary, the Kasich and Strickland campaigns had signaled their strategies in running this fall.
Kasich will point to the job losses in Ohio during Strickland's first four years in office and promise a renewed and reformed state government that will watch the spending and create economic opportunities.
Strickland will portray Kasich as being out of touch with Ohioans. Last week, the governor's campaign unleashed its first television commercial.
So what do we learn? This fall, Kasich will summarize the Governor's record and provide his own alternative ideas that focus on creating jobs.
And Strickland will ignore his own record and attack Kasich.
Yep, sounds about right.
