House Democratic stalwart, Chairman of the House Appropriations Committee, and author of the federal stimulus bill, David Obey, is retiring.
This is something that before today was not even considered to be a possibility.
But one thing is clear. The political environment has changed.
He read his stars and he's getting out while he can.
