Christie's style of governing and communicating to the media and public-at-large makes me think his Administration will be a fun experiment to watch. We conservatives have clamored for someone who represents our belief system and is a no-nonsense politician who does what he says and says what he does.Since then he's had a number of policy victories. And he hasn't changed his style one bit.
So far, Christie is doing just that. As long as he continues on this trajectory it provides an interesting opportunity to see just how successful sticking to your guns is as not just a governing strategy, but an electoral one as well.
So, how are his approval numbers looking?
Better than Obama.
In approval vs. disapproval, Christie sits at +11 in a new poll by Fairleigh Dickinson University. Obama sits at +9.
Even better? Christie sits at a 48-24 approval rating among Independents.
Considering the tough decisions the Governor has been forced to make, that's pretty amazing.
