A return to the prevailing pattern.

With poll after poll after poll showing Republicans with a steady lead on the generic congressional ballot, Democrats couldn't help but crow about a sudden flip in Gallup's congressional ballot a couple weeks ago.

Well, the many questions about whether the sudden flip was an outlier were answered yesterday.

As of now, we're back up 48-43 in what Gallup calls "a return to the prevailing 2010 pattern".

In other news that hints at the upcoming Dempocolypse, there's the ever-prevalent enthusiasm gap. Currently, there are twice the number of "very enthusiastic" GOPers as there are Dems. That won't make the job very fun for whomever is hired by the Dems to drive voter turnout.
