American Electric Power plans to shrink its work force by between 5 percent and 10 percent -- or up to 2,200 workers -- in its 11-state territory to cut expenses as it continues to feel the effects of the recession.In case anyone forgot, AEP's HQ is in central Ohio and the location of thousands of employees.
