House GOPers won't let this go away.

Props to the Ohio House Republicans for not sitting back and letting the Governor get away on this one.

Five House Republicans, all of them military veterans, fired off a critical letter to Gov. Ted Strickland today after The Dispatch revealed that the state is losing more than $500,000 in federal money to help disabled veterans re-enter the workforce.

After failing to meet the federal requirement for hiring and retaining vocational counselors, the U.S. Department of Labor cut funding for Ohio's Disabled Veterans Outreach Program by $525,000 in March, reducing the grant from $6.2 million to $5.7 million.

“Your inaction to protect the veterans’ grant has shown a complete lack of regard for the service members who have dedicated their lives to our security, our freedom and our great nation,” said the letter, signed by GOP Reps. William G. Batchelder of Medina, John Adams of Sidney, Peter Beck of Mason, Danny Bubp of West Union and Josh Mandel of Lyndhurst.
