Obama has to beg people to come see him. Again.

This is starting to become a trend.

For his last visit a few weeks ago to the Buckeye state, OSU students were asked to show up at the last minute to fill seats at Obama's event for Ted Strickland.

And now this happens today:
With less than an hour before President Obama's scheduled speech, 75 seats remained empty in the recreation center at Cuyahoga Community College's Western Campus.

So organizers went around campus and recruited more students to fill the seats.

Student Jennifer Rahal, of Parma Heights, whose class was canceled today, was working on her art work in the coffee shop in the basement of the building when the call went out for more guests.

After dropping off their stuff at a bag check, the newly invited guests cleared security and filed into the gym.
How incredibly embarrassing.

Of course, when your Ohio approval rating has plummeted 43 points in less than two years, I guess this isn't exactly unexpected.

  2. Meanwhile, the Kasich-Taylor campaign spent much of yesterday begging to give away FREE tickets to their Columbiana County rally and had a reported 40 people watch their BIG announcement on their webcast this morning.

    Wow.

  3. Lol @ "a reported 40 people".

You got that from Right Ohio making a guess on his twitter feed.

    Desperate much?

  4. Hey Moder Dumbass,

There were 400 people standind outside on a public street in a tiny town yesterday in Columbiana County- There is a gap indeed.

Strickland has had one major rally. It was at Coney Island and he freaked out and lost his mind (see RGA video). Oh yeah, it was a union rally.

    Get real.

  5. We're knocking on doors and calling voters rather than waiting around to fawn over a Faux News commentator (either Kasich or Beck) whose twisted vision for this country doesn't include anyone without a silver spoon.

I don't need to go to a Strickland or Obama rally. They have my vote. I'll spend my free time id'ing, persuading, then GOTVing. There's no enthusiasm gap among volunteers.

  6. Well, we all know how RightOhio is biased and unfair to Kasich's campaign. LOL.

Four hundred people? Not from the crowd shots I saw (from the Kasich campaign).

Actually, Strickland has had several major rallies with hundreds of people.

But you keep telling yourself that this is something. Kind of like how Keeling thinks its impressive how many Twitter/Facebook followers Kasich has, even though they're mostly from out of state.

Keep telling yourself that Kasich inability to sell his own tax plan, leading him to essentially abandon it and embarass a platform of technocratic change that is largely modeled off of the achievements of his opponent is no big deal.

Keep telling yourself that Kasich's involvement in shipping hundreds of Ohio manufacturing jobs overseas isn't important, but a private company with a contract with the State using a foreign call center is.

    We'll see.
